WEEK 7 : FEB 11 -17

The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14 until March 25.

What is Lent? Since at least the fourth century AD, some Christian traditions have set aside the 40 days (minus Sundays) leading up to Easter as “Lent”—a season of fasting, moderation, forms of selfdenial, repentance, and/or practicing specific spiritual disciplines. The season and its symbols aren’t anything magical or mystical; they’re simply a reminder of Jesus’ own suffering, and of Christians’ desperate need for, and reliance on, God and his gospel.

READ

  • Day 1: Exodus 33

  • Day 2: Exodus 34

  • Day 3: Psalm 91

  • Day 4: Exodus 35

  • Day 5: Leviticus 16

DAILY PRAYER FOR CTK

●  Pray that the light of Jesus would penetrate even the darkest places

●  Pray for those who are sharing the light of Christ in hard places around the

world

●  Pray for brothers and sisters around the world, who are on the “front lines”

of darkness in ways that you aren’t

●  Pray against attacks, evil, and darkness, coming against light

●  Pray for joy in Christ, even for those who face suffering and persecution

Q: How and Why Did God Create Us?
